In the world of cruise liners

Meyer Werft's Visitor Center

Papenburg is the home of cruise liners. A tour of Meyer Werft's Visitor Center, gives visitors a chance to learn how the worlds most beautiful and luxurious ocean liners are built. Vivid exhibits, informative films and exciting guided tours offer a behind-the-scenes look at modern shipbuilding.

Meyer Werft and Papenburg are inextricably linked. You can experience the history of the traditional company, which is now in the seventh generation of the family, on 3500 square meters of exhibition space. In a total of nine exhibition areas with original components, including four balcony cabins for modern cruise ships, a gigantic “ship's propeller” and 20 impressive ship models, you will get an impression of how great things are created at Meyer Werft. Face to face with welders and crane operators, you can see the latest ocean liners “made in Papenburg” before every passenger. The highlight of every tour is the view from the panorama gallery into the largest covered shipbuilding hall in the world.

Visit Papenburg and discover the world of shipbuilding.
