The breathtaking panorama

Cave of Falsari

The Cave of Falsari can be reached via the Pilgrim's Path which connects Noli and Varigotti and is one of the most evocative views that you can admire during a trek in Liguria .

The Cave of Falsari, also known as Grotta dei Briganti or Antro dei Falsari, from Noli is located in Varigotti, along the "Passeggiata Dantesca" and the "Sentiero del Pellegrino", and is one of the most beautiful excursions in Western Liguria. In fact, it is said that the Grotta dei Falsari was the site of the traffic of smugglers who in the past kept their goods there. It is a path that climbs gently, with a slight difference in height, and which offers breathtaking views of the Ligurian coast, alternating between the green of the Mediterranean scrub and the sapphire blue of the sea. The origin of the Cave of Falsari is due to a slow and constant erosive action exerted by the sea millions of years ago, when the land that emerged today was below sea level. The panorama is breathtaking.

Discover Varigotti, also known as the Saracen Hamlet of Liguria and prepare your cameras for the Cave of Falsari.
